This December has been one to truly be thankful for. In all the hustle and bustle of the season, we were able to serve at some fantastic events, debut some new products, and meet lots of great new folks. Our downtown Pittsboro spot is where we can be found Tuesday through Friday. We will continue to be set up at the Pittsboro Farmers Market all winter, so keep us in mind on Thursday nights for a quick, no hassle dinner, and a great local shopping experience. GunDogs has served at 580 Craft Beer several Fridays in December, and are pumped to be on the regular rotation there.
The month started off with the debut of a new sausage at 580 Craft Beer, the Paul Bunion. This incredible new meal is a sausage size hotdog infused with real bacon and onion. A fantastic seasonal treat!
We were blessed to serve and help contribute at the Chatham Charter School’s Holiday Bazaar in Siler City. It was a great turnout and we were able to contribute in a new twist. Roasted Granite Springs Anahiem chilies were the inspiration for the “Anaheim Challenge”. For a direct school contribution of $2, brave souls could add two chilies to the hotdog of their choice. We had several takers, and it was a lot of fun!
The weekend of December 10-11 was action packed. GunDogs was an event sponsor for the 2016 5K Reindeer Run/Walk on Saturday and set up shop with hot cocoa, tea, coffee as well as our famous hotdogs. The following day was a huge day with the Pittsboro Christmas Parade marching through town. Our Hot Cocoa was the big seller for the day.
Along with our long-standing favorites, the Coney and Ocracoke dogs, our best selling sausage has become the Brazilian Linguica from the Weeping Radish. As always, we are thankful for our relationship with the great folks there and look forward to some new items in the coming months.
Thanks to our friends at Sabrett, Bella Donna, Chatham Business Services, Weeping Radish, Lilly Den Farm, Chatham Magazine, Angelina’s Kitchen, Pittsboro Farmers Market, 580 Craft Beer, and most importantly, all our loyal and new customers!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
